Paillers Peugeot sounds like a road car!
I agree that a lot of the cars on circuit sound rather quiet, theres only one or two (specifically Gibson's 6R4) that have a distinct exhaust note, so I'd definately like to hear a bit more volume from the cars.

The crackle of ALS and twitter of turbo stall is all part of the noise/appeal of these cars though and, in my opinion, should definately be allowed to stay.

But, sadly, i bet a huge part to play in that is council noise restrictions like at many circuits. Think rallycross is muted? try F5000 at the Gold Cup - silencers on those for the first time last year, i almost cried it was ruined so much.

I dont think rallycross cars are foced to be any quieter than anything else, I imagine its simply the fact theya re turbocharged! That often quietens an engine.

WRC cars are fairly loud and you can hear an engine tone, but ERC Div 1 carsa re perhaps one of the quietest cars around for their pwoer.

Yes the ALS and launch control is loud but in motion it's only the wastegate you can hear and a bit of engine noise, weird!

Its not the same track, Chessons loose has been extended substantially. It used to rejoin the tarmac by Marshalling post 4 but has been substantially extended to the finishing line, so I dont think you can compare times to the 1980s even if the joker lap wasnt used.

Anyway, fantastic meeting, but I hope Motors TV change their camera angles and the commenatators, however that said any live coverage os good for the sport........
