Bit of a worry that BJR who have a very good record of attracting new sponsors to the sport are struggling to land a title sponsor for number 8. Rotating secondary sponsors helps, but doubt they are paying full freight.

If you like nothing but Supercars with a couple of Toyota's and a few Utes for "variety", then I guess not.

Some of the KV8s running this weekend are pretty much historics now.

So I guess it's got that going for it.

Is it the team or the driver ? Nick doesn't have the luxury of cashed up sponsors like others do (aside from Coates previously). I don't see him as that appealing from a sponsors perspective either. He does come across a bit whiny at times.

It's nick not bjr BOC pulled out at a late time and Nick has always lacked the ability to attract sponsors except for Coates Hire and Morris Finance

Not sure about whiny, but I find him very awkward and wooden in front of camera.

For me, if I am going to fork out VASC ticket prices, then the quality/variety of the support races is definitely an influence on my attendance. Super2 + Kumho + Utes +86s doesn't do it for me, so I'm giving PI a miss. FTA highlights packages will have to do.

Perhaps Erebus could lodge a lien over the #3 REC... if/when the bill is unpaid, they get a shiny new REC for the cost of a rebuild

No knowledge, Lucas stated he couldn't afford to keep him this season and the Walkinshaw #222 ride evaporated because of a lack of sponsors https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/amp.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/motor-sport/v8-supercars/nick-percat-secures-v8-supercars-drive-with-lucas-dumbrell-motorsport-for-2015-season/news-story/b0079b1e8a90bc4d0ba7d2f38141b5de

Once upon a time I used to go through the program and count the different marques.

There was a definite decrease over time. Including open wheelers there was often more than 20 marques represented.
