Yep, one full second ahead of the Pescarolo... good job by Shimoda, good job by the team too...

The Courage is back in a better position (6th).

There's only 43 entries, and two of them didn't rol (#36 and #56), right ?

Errr, he raced in the Formula Renault V6 Eurocup in the #6 DPR in 2004 (finished 5th). Didn't do much this season.

No real Surprise there about the pace of the RML Lola of Erdos and Newton, they have proved every race they are the fastest LMP2 out there - just lets hope it stays in one piece for the full race this time.

I love 04s has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Incidently Robert Bell was Hayanari Shimoda's team mate at DPR when they were both doing Renault V6 - they are great friends.

there wont be a streaming video. its only for FIA GT races (well, for one more FIA GT race), and all the races at Spa.

I think the best we will get is live timing and scoring. It looks like there wont even be a live radio (in english). LMES themselves has one, but its in French.

Wow, a 1.45.2 - guess i was right!

We could be looking at 1.44's for qualy even though last years best time throughout the entire weekend was a 1.45.8 - Shimoda seems to have settled into the new track rather nicely!

Speaking of people who are going very fast indeed, has anyone noticed that Rob Bell in the DBR9 is a second quicker than Darren Turner!

Not only has he never driven Nurburgring before, he has never driven a front engine car before either, what a great effort from him - i wonder who will end up qualifying the car...............

Well done to Tom and Shimoda, another good show from the RML MG. The LNT TVR's seem quick again, and the Aston has been out paced by the 550.

One thing that I appreciate too : all the prototypes are leading the GTs... and all the GT1s are leading the GT2s...

BTW -- I have put some images online (link) and we will post regular updates on sunday.

Nice race expected ! And with the Zytek at the end of the grid, the first laps will be hot !

The BMS performances seem to be due to new Pirelli tyres. The AM is a dispointement, though...
