2012 Fantasy F1 Results - Abu Dhabi
The Abu Dhabi Round up
First the Relevant Facts and figures that determine the points… All 24 Cars qualified within the 107% however Vettel’s car was unable to produce the required 1 litre of fuel for testing and as such was eliminated from Qualification. He was however allowed to start from the rear of the grid and thus takes the 50 point Penalty. Red Bull subsequently broke the Parc Ferme on the car choosing to start from the pit lane. This incurred no further penalty. Whilst there were no grid penalties as such; for the purposes of qualification Vettel drops his Grid bonus, but there is no extra bonus points awarded for those who move up the grid. Qualifying bonuses for Constructors having both cars in Q3 go to McLaren, Ferrari and Lotus. The Engine supplier bonuses go to Mercedes and Renault for each powering 2 different constructors into Q3. There were 2 leaders of the race, Raikkonen and Hamilton, each receives 1 bonus point. Raikkonen receives the bonus for leading the most laps, as do Lotus for Constructor and Renault for Engine supplier. Fastest lap went to Vettel taking the bonus points for himself, and Red Bull for constructor and Renault for engine supplier. The top 2 engines from each supplier, powering different constructors are colour coded for easy reference. Of the seven who were classified non finishers; Only Pic stopped due to a Technical failure, in this car the engine air system. Marussia therefore receive a 5 point penalty. Onto the results… Race 18 and I thought it couldn’t get any closer, but the top 3 in the overall have finish in the top 3 for Abu Dhabi. Not only that, but Redneck Racing and Moral Victors share the top spot with 87 points. Team AWB are next up with 71 points This means that in the Overall, It’s as you were for the top 2, Redneck Racing maintains the slim 4 point lead over Moral Victors 1004 pts verses 1000 pts. Team AWB aren’t out of it by any means in third but did drop a little farther back with 967 points. Fourth place sees Rotary Wankell with 833 being chased by Duke Grand Prix Engineering, Leopold Racing and SBF Racing, who themselves are separated by just 6 points (787, 781 and 781 respectively). Full results and points breakdowns can be seen below. |
