Wacky racing team - San Marino GP (preview)

The preparations for the GP of Imola saw our team in the most chaotic form. We did not have a plan, neither time to arrange all the details neccesary for a team of our calibre. Added to that is the low morale state of spirit after the blow-up of our (very expensive) team in Brazil.

However, we decied that is time to change our strategy. We noticed that when we do not spend much time on thinking () we actually play better! So for the next race we will just wait till 1 minute when the bidding ends and click the mouse.

Given the success of our new strategy, we are very proud to announce that Schumacher brothers will drive to new levels of success a new and bright red Ferrari-chassis, the real GA this time! That chassis is powered by the BMW unit (and Mr Red is much to embarrased to admit how much did he pay for them )

As usual, after a long brain-storming, we decided that the 5th spec of Michelins will give us the pole, fast lap of the race, in addition to the aforementioned first 2 places of the podiums.

Our sponsors (HSBC, West, Mild Seven, Shell, Mobil) are happy with our team and looking forward to the race.

Mr Red - team principal

I think I have managed to join as the last member. However I am going to have a very unsponsored car this event so money will be tight . I am glad it is not a fly away or I would have serious problems in competing.

I just got a notice like this. Has anyone else? This sends me into Owing money next round...

2003-04-11 08:26:12 Dear Team '903CC'

After the recent incident in which one of your cars was badly damaged in testing,
I have the regrettable task of informing you that the Insurers have refused to pay claiming wilful negligence.
We will of course be launching a claim against the Insurers for the full amount.
In the meantime you will be required to cover the claim yourself.

Cost: 0.50 M

Your Lawyer

Sheese. Yeah, I received a similar message. Dammit. And I wasn't even testing. But anyway, I do have a lawyer?

Wonder what the outcome of the claim will be...

PS: Rij, your team is in "classic" mode...

Rrrrrright... but I was talking about the Supreme and Classic Leagues. In classic league you can chose wheter your team (in Classic league) is in Supreme or Classic modes. Your team is Classic (don't have sponsors, testing sessions).

There are 2 different games.

Game 1) (or main game) is the game where you pick what drivers you want, tyres, etc. You MAY join a league, but is not necessary (you can compete against everybody else... Actually we do ). Those leagues are called "Clasic" leagues. Same team may join a number of different leagues.

This game, has 2 modes: Classic and Supreme. In Supreme mode (but still in classic game) You have to pick sponsors, negociate with them etc. In return, they give extra cash, but actually that's not much of a gain since they usually force you to pick a crappy chassis or something else.. It's fun when 2 sponsors force you to pick 2 different chassis for example...

That was The "Ten-tenths classic league"

Game 2) The Supreme. That's easy. You compete agains a maximum number of other 9 competitors. Logic, since each player has to pick 2 drivers etc, and if you pick them the others have to pick somebody else. You still may join multiple leagues, but you have to build a new team in each of them. That's the "Ten-tenths Racing League"

PS: Mark, if you want to compete in boths modes (in Classic league) you need to create 2 teams. At least that's how I see it... Clicked on every link there and couldn't find a possibility to switch modes)

I never have been forced to pick anything else by a sponsor. So the same team can have 2 different names?
