track day birthday prescent

Hi.
My husband owns a G reg Ford Sierra 4x4 2.9 estate and I would like to buy him a track day present.
The one we are looking at it the Castle Combe Circuit on Monday the 22nd march 2004.

He has never driven my car around a racing track and I am wondering if he will look a complete idiot in our old ford sierra.

Our car has 3rd party insurance and am worried about any sort of cover at all.
Not because of him driving into somebody but somebody hitting him.

We don’t have a crash helmet so can the organizers supply us with one.

Shall I not bother and find another present instead.
Any advice would be a great help.
Cheers.

Hi, and welcome to the fourm.

I think reading through the 'Trackday Guide' will be of help.

And yes, it'll be a great present.

I think it is a good pressie. If he has never done one before why don't you get him a Trackday Taster. It's only for half a day I think and even better they are being sold on ebay at the moment for just £1!! Check the link
