For some reason I have quite a problem trying not to confuse Japanese drivers' names. Once they reach F1 I'm more or less okay, but Takuma Sato is still the only one who stands out in my memory.
It couldn't have been Kobayashi, I guess, because he's now a contracted BMW Sauber Ferrari driver. Aside - when are they going to change that team name into something sensible? |

If HRT could do it then rather sooner then later, I would like to see this car on the grid asap.

Yeh i'd love to see this car on the grid in the shape it already is, just to see how it fairs with the rest of the field.

Are you allowed to change your engine manufacturer during the season ? Can't see this car showing up with a cossie in its back.

I thought you were no longer allowed to modify your chassis during the season. Presumably using the Toyota instead of the Dallara would contravene this rule?
I guess if Bernie gave them support they might be given a waiver but I'd think it more likely that the car is used next year rather then this. |

The teams are allowed to modify the chassis, they just need to get it rehomologated after completing the modifications

I would imagine that if HRT bought the chassis, Toyota would insist that Nakajima would be one of their drivers, presumably replacing Chandhok.
Still, it's a small price to pay for them to be competitive |

Chassis homologation for this season is now closed. This is why McLaren have the F-duct properly integrated into their car and other teams have had to use compromise solutions. Virgin had to get special permission from the FIA to build a chassis that enabled them to increase their fuel tank capacity.

I don't really miss Toyota, look at what they spent on money and what have they gotten back for it? Almost no results to speak of.

Granted, they did make some huge errors along the way... Ralph being the most glaring I'd say. They needed a top shelf driver and somebody on the pitwall most of all to make sound decisions. Between Pascal and Luca, they did ok, Mike Gascoyne was questionable (obviously his brilliance showed in the TF105, but the 106 was a total disaster) and it's a real pity IMO that they had to leave with absolutely 0 wins. At least Bahrain, Spa and Brasil should have been theirs last year. |

2010 Toyota F1 TF110- The car that will never race? Or will it?
Take a look at this pictures...with the lack of the white colour from the characteristic Toyota F1 scheme, maybe this will be the "B" car from Ferrari...
Just, kidding. This car might be purchased by HRT for next year, along with Toyota F1 facilities! Hope they keep the Red and put the Yellow to a Spanish Flag livery. |

Sad loss to Grand Prix racing!
But we now have quality teams like HRT and Virgin. |
