BRSCC @ Donington Next Week

There is a meeting for BRSCC @ Donington next weekend (27th/28th) and we are desperately short of Pit Marshals. It will be a good weekend with Caterhams, Mini's and Radicals. If you would like to work in the pit lane (you don't have to have been there before, everyone is welcome) please send me a PM and I will arrange for tickets for you.

Don't forget the Daly Systems Star of the Midlands FF1600s are also there.

(That should pull in a few extra volunteers I would have thought )

I knew I had forgotten one! Does this mean you are already there? Would you like to work in the pits?

Sadly I am but a humble journalist. I am going to try and do a day of marshalling sometime this year though!

Ian. You would be welcome in the pit lane anytime you wish.

Stroller. As I work in advertising have alot to do with journalists, I agree, but then my boss would probably say the same about me!

Thats the radicals. Anyway 4 hour races are no different to having 4 normal races, except you don't have the fuss of the starts!

It's Beetles, not Radicals. Saturday is also a track day, I believe.

They are sort of Beetles made for racing and sadley not no were near as much fun as radicals.
With a big difference of not having a break for 4 hours

Sorry my mistake! I have so many pieces of paper regarding one meeting....

As far as I know Saturday has proper qualifying, so would assume it is part of the meeting.

You do have a break, as they all stop within a designated period and the rest of the time we stand down in rotation. And during the arces it it quieter for us that during the starts!

I stand corrected, on my sheet it says qualifying and one race, so I took that to be more than one qualifying session! I will make sure I read them thoroughly next time!

Having been to a few of these UTC races including last year at dono I know in theory you stand down but in practice as there are only 2 marshals per post (to cover flags, obs and course I dont think you will be able to stand down)

Anna, you are right about the bank, however it is much easier in the pits, even with small numbers as in between driver changes, we tend to have very few cars stop, so at a push 2 people can cover. Sorry to all marshals on the bank (including my hubby) maybe you should transfer to the pits!

If no-one else has one to hand, I will post it tomorrow. Once I have read through it of course to make sure I don't trip myself up on anything!

Sounds like Sunday is going to be more fun than Saturday. I don't fancy standing around for 4 hours especially if the weather is as bad as it was this weekend

Will point out what it says at the bottom of the BRSCC timetable
Saturday's race day is shared with a traxperiance day, therefore the track will be in use at all other times.

That would be interesting to know, is there anyone on here who is in the BRSCC who knows for sure.
Although I would point out that the traxperience is run by the BRSCC so you may be doing those as well.
