There seem to be 3 teams with solid pace from their whole fleets... they dont always manage to jag a race result, but the speed is definitely around.

Will asking for an apology after he moved across the road and drive another driver off it, breaking the other driver's suspension in the process?

Absolutely a penalty applies there. He was careless and this was an avoidable incident.

Lowndes was diplomatic but left no doubts as to what he was referring to - you cannot do what Will did. You must leave racing room for other drivers. Lowndes was already slightly off the road trying to avoid Will.

In other words, avoidable contact was caused directly by Will defending his position and Lowndes and as such Lowndes was out of the race. If it were up to me, Will would be disqualified. This isn't how it works however, so I guess the standard 25 point penality could be applied.

peckstar has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
so that makes mixer and mark skaife now who think Will did something wrong.

Roland Danes was very vocal About James at the GP, but said nothing about this incident, why is that?

I'm wondering Mixer, was it ok for Jamie to run Will of the track, like he did, when he passed him for the lead, and should he be disqualified also?

Honestly I should really just ignore you because your contact with reality is clearly tenuous at best.

Roland had a camera thrust in his face in the heat of the moment. The replay from Frosty's car was the smoking gun as far as I am concerned, irrefutable evidence that Will changed his line in the braking zone and took Lowndes out.

Lowndes seemed to know exactly where the back of Will's car was every other time at the hairpin, with his nudging and rattling on the rear bumper.

Racing incident, unfortunate that Craig ended his race but these things will happen.

Mixer like i said, you and skaife are the only oens who have said it

go through this thread, no one has said it

all the post race interviews, no one,

The post race review of incidents - none

So please dont suggest i have problems with reality. it doesnt justify your argument it just means you are playing the man because your argument is weak

“That was caused by Will Davison moving over,” said Skaife during his call of the incident.

“You can’t do that in the braking area. Once you’ve got track position you can’t move the car (over).”

Edwards disagrees.

“Will only copped a smashing because one of the commentators went over the top in their view of things,” he says.
let me confirm he was recently on the triple 8 payroll (possibly still is) and Will Davison is the driver that took his place at HRT

edit happy Birthday Mark also

Ah no. As part of Skaife's role as V8 Commission Chairman he cannot be on the payroll of any team, hence why he had to retire from driving.

Could he still provide advice to a team in return for cash, dont know, thus his lack of independance

the track actually has a small kink in it approaching the corner. it may seem he is changing his line, however it could well be he is continuing his line, which does however mean the amount of track drivers right is diminishing

So his new job has already started...which then means that he's not leaving the commentary box anytime soon? Bugger....

This was the first thing I thought when I saw the incident. The road on the right disappears in a real hurry and whilst it looks like Will may have turned in a fraction later, with another car making a lunge at you, it's only natural for you to go deeper under brakes to try and defend.

Racing incident, no penalties, nothing wrong at all.

You'd think Skaife would know that, he's driven there often enough.........give up the commentary Mark.

Agreed. Usual suspects, usual diatribe. How to stop it is the question...

So, the usual statement. If you can't write your post without being insulting to someone, please don't post it.

If someone does insult you, don't reply in kind, report it and we'll take a look at it.
