Federal Election and Motorsport
It is federal election time again, so what is in it for the Motorsport fan in Australia?
Free Foxtel for us senior Motorsport watchers? Make the relaunch of Auto Action a national priority? Should the Bathust 1000 distance be increased with CPI each year? Should we hold a royal commission into Red Bulls Monaco cockup? Should T888 build the PM's Limo? Do the Greens have a long term strategic paper on moving the Supercars towards a full hybrid series, complete with a purpose built track at Nimbin? Just for a laugh, while we endure the longest campaign known to mankind! |

Oh I reckon the US presidential election is longer, Still 6 months to they vote
But if your a victorian then get on Australian Motoring Enthusiast party. Ricky Muir has done a pretty good job since he came on the scene, Been attending lots of motorport events canvassing the people he represents. He is growing into the role after an average start and should have another 3 years if not for the double dissolution |

Ricky Muir spent a lot of time yesterday at the 40th Historic Winton; after doing the VIP thing, he was seen about 3 hours later still walking though the pits/paddock having a look at the cars and talking to people. He really isn't the bogan that the media portrayed him to be.

He did a pretty good job himself of achieving that early on without media intervention

Ricky Muir has not really stepped up for "Motoring Enthusiasts". He has pushed hard for the aftermarket industry but motorsport remains a poor cousin as far as Government handouts to sporting organisations is concerned.

Maybe we should have pushed for another permanent circuit in NSW?

Sandown heritage listing campaign launched
THE aMEP helping out motorsport, would suggest this is a lost battle even if he does get in, still going into bat for motorsports contrary to champcarmans opinion |

Perhaps Mr Muir's value to this process is based on an anticipated hung parliament again, with deals to be done about what he is interested in.

Seems Ricky no longer a senator, and bot Mal and Bill promised to build football stadiums anywhere to get votes.
