BTCC wheel sizes

Hi,

Can someone please tell me what the BTCC wheel size was for the 1992-1993 season?

I know when they went down the super touring route that they were 19" rims, however I have seen some pics of the older cavalier and they don't really look like 19" wheels, they look more like 17". Can anyone confirm?

Thanks,

Ben.

The info you are after can be found here.

In summary, a mixture of 18 and 19 inch wheels (18 on the Cavalier).

More information regarding the 850 can be found here.

Specifically, 'Wheels are from OZ (18-inch) '

Of note, the Super Touring regs, which were derived from the BTCC 2L regs, state that:

'4.5 Wheels and tyres
4.5.1) The maximum width of the complete wheel is of 9 inches; the complete wheel diameter is not to exceed 650 mm.
[...]
4.5.2) Wheels :
The design and diameter are free, as is the type of attachment, but wheels made partially or entirely from composite materials are prohibited.'
