They were supposed to all be six hours or longer. They will still be great races, but nothing is as good as a looooooooooong race. Unless it's at Daytona in February and it's 30 degrees and raining. About 10 minutes is all I can take of that!

As a fan of Le Mans and the old 1000kms format for sportscars, that's disappointing. I guess shorter races make for better TV. That's the only thing that seems to matter these days.....

I just wish we could have a proper WSPC like the 80s (here I go again).
Great races, great circuits and great cars. Not to mention the different races, 1000km, 24 hours and sprints... |

Networks won't touch a 6 hour live event. Only Speed Channel (nee Speedvision) has had the balls to air an enitre endurance sportscar event. However, the ALMS wants to remain on NBC as well as ythe cable outlet so they are limiting their races to typical IMSA length.
