Hard to read too much into the testing. Glock coming out top that day though was a bit 'Wow, what's going on there...????'

The BMW had some interesting little flow conditioners on the nose today.
Ugly, mind. |

Marko Asmer's time was impressive. I think you'll find he's being lined up as BMW's reserve/test driver, so they probably gave him a low fuel run to see what he could do.
If not, they must be wondering why he was quicker than Nick Heidfeld in this year's car. The new Williams looks to be quick... |

It seems like we are going to see another season of insane reliability.

It's getting much more difficult for the mid-fielders to grab any points at all now.Perhaps a change in the point system is needed. |

I assume that this initial freebie does not reset the race-count for the engine? If that were the case, well, it would be the de facto end of the long-life engine formula. I'm sorry to ask obvious questions, but I must confess to having not looked into the fine detail of this particular issue (I have just assumed how it would work, given I could not envisage any other logical options). |

I've got this hunch that the best of the rest this year is going to be Williams for some reason. My hunch depends a lot on what Red Bull and Honda deliver, but if BMW are "doing a Honda" and if Renault have what is politely described as a "transitional year"...things could be looking up for a Mr. Rosberg

Did the car handle better because of the cockpit shroud or because the chassis had a crack in it I wonder.

Who designed that thing, and what were they on?
I can't quite get my head around what that's meant to be... |
