Love it.

I had a similar view of a Tornado, but I was driving along the M6 at the time!

It was when the first Gulf War had just started and the RAF were practicing low level flying. It was in the valley just before Tebay, where the motorway is partly up the hillside. This thing came hammering past at about the same level as the road - awesome

One of the busiest points in the country for Low Flying is Tebay!

Personally though this is my fav. Taken from the same position as the Hawk shot just lower!

I was once driving up the A449, down in deepest, darkest, Herefordshire, IIRC, and on climbing to the top of a steep wooded hill, had heart failure when presented with a fast jet, HEAD ON! Only to realise it was a Harrier, hovering 500 odd feet off the floor of the NEXT valley. Bloody pilot was peeing himself laughing. I was genuinely looking for a mop and bucket...

not wanting to upset anyone, but i don't think either of those marshals are wearing gloves, which is a really silly thing to forget when putting a fire out... :|

doesn't detract from the blatant breach of safety regulations.

The poor guys I dont think were even down for fire marshal duties, having caught fire out on the circuit, the driver decided to it bring home to the pit lane,
(for whatever reason?) but it was getting a bit fierce and he abadoned ship between the start of pit lane and the pit garages. Having found some an extiguishers the marshals had a few yards to run to get to the car.
They saved the car IMHO!

yer and being in pitlane is no excuse for not having gloves, having done the duty myself on several occasions. Glad they saved the motor tho

It's not very sharp, is it? I mean, you get at least half a second's notice and it's only moving at 300mph+! God, what a poor effort

Here is a picture I took at an SCCA race in January. Picture is not the best quality (not clear enough and too pixilated by my standards) because I had to over sharpen it to be able to see the driver. But I still think it came out as a cool shot.

The BMW of Nick Heidfeld ends up in the gravel trap during testing at Barcelona. Nick put the pedal down a bit too early while on his installation lap.
