Who will win the showy at Pukekohe..... (incl. spoilers)

Will Murf win again? Will Skaife beat him? Will Courtney take his first round win? Will Whincup back up his first round victory?

For all these questions and more, this thread exists..

Me, I pick:

Tander
Winterbottom
T.Kelly

Lowndes will be strong - pole last year and having Whincup pushing him along he'll be tough to beat - so long as there are no flat batteries this year.... HRT cars are quick but i'm tipping one of them to fall off the road early in race 1 with a Toll car ( Tanders ) stuck to some part of it

I can't give a definitive answer, but I expect FPR to put in an improved performance on a track like this. Bright has a good track record in sprint rounds - and his overtaking prowess could stand him in good stead for the reverse grid race.

Otherwise, the usual suspects will be there or thereabouts.

Courtney will be quicker than Rusty.

Assumes FPR nail his car back together straight. Driver was heard to complain it is still not the way it was before the bingle (no not Lara..)

I expect Jason Richards to be near the front again this round provided officialdom and he don't disagree.
Jamie Whincup to further Mr Murphy's bad temper also.
Geezs Deeks I am even hoping car 88 wins. Gotta love being a Holden man.
Lowndes won't be far away provided the kick after Clipsal registered.

Rick Kelly to leave another hole the size of a Melbourne tram, aim for the apex and then bleat when someone fixes him up.

Tough one to predict;
1 - T.Kelly
2 - Lowndes
3 - Murphy

Roughies based on previous form both at NZ and so far in 06;
S.Richards, Dumbrell, J.Richards, Tander, Whincup

Skaife

Only reason the 'Puke Prince' gets a guernsy is because of previous history there. Certainly not based on results this year (nor the car for that matter), but even on bad years like last year, he some how manages the win...
TK to be right in the mix.
Personally, I'd like to see Mac Cam carry the speed over from Adelaide. Here's Hopin'.

Too right. Every team seems to think their drivers are the best at coming through the field, but these two (and I guess Ambrose too) are in a class of their own coming through the field. Same with McConville - he never does anything stupid and had the car to come through in Clipsal race 1...
