Thanks for the pics Swede, it was interesting to be reminded how uncompetitive Can Am had become in just two seasons, even with the same cars in the field. And to see that Roe had a T car as insurance that he could mop up on that lot? Amazing.

I'm so late to the party that......
someone else beat me to it with one of my pics.
Oh well, guess I shouldn't be surprised. At work all the young snots call me "old man". So back to what this thread started out talking about ....Tiga Atlantic cars...before it so perversely degenerated into the ravings of some old coot about broken legs, imaginary nurses and hallucinatory drugs. Sullivan in the Garvin's Tiga at Westwood '82.... http://www.flickr.com/photos/46681980@N03/4380860477 Al Jr. and Mikey......Long Beach '82 http://www.flickr.com/photos/46681980@N03/4552882461 Mikey and Hubert.....LB '82 http://www.flickr.com/photos/46681980@N03/4552883007 Now that I've properly restored the purpose of this thread I'll just end this little missive by saying that I reckon there should be other pics of the Tiga somewhere in my archives. I'll post them after I have my nurse find'em and scan'em. |

Hi Folks,
I recently acquired a TIGA from Mario Sarazin, but am not sure which one it is. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Here are some pics: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...9&l=3847ba6118 Cheers, Raf |

FA81 163
Hi i'm trying to find some photos or entry list from 1982 Macau GP.
I believe Vern Schuppan drove this car(FA81 163) as many people have stated on this thread but I have no hard evidence. I am applying for a Historic Log Book and they ask for competition history. I was also wondering what colour scheme Vern ran at Macau GP it is Yellow now but the body work may have been changed after Macau. Any help would be great. I will post some photos of the car. |

I found this article that says Vern was there driving a FA81 but the car in the photo doesn't resemble a FA81. |

Thanks, I thought it was a march, the caption under photo implies that Vern in Car 99 is driving a F2 upgraded to a FA81 but it was the F3 car that was converted to FA81 i have found this photo of James Weaver in F3 trim but I cant find any of Vern. I can find results and info from every other year but 1982.

Tiga Rear stub Axle
First thanks Ducfer for the link to macau 1982 thats exactly what i've been looking for
Secondly to any Tiga Fa owners or people experienced whith these cars, I took my car(FA81-163) out to the track 2 days ago first time car has been driven in 20 years. I ran the motor in than 3rd session out started to go fast and the left rear stub axle (rod that holds the wheel on) broke and the wheel came off, was lucky to keep it off the wall and get no damage. Has anyone heard of this happening? We found the stub still with wheel nut on it looked like it already had a flaw in it. |
