The current owner says it's a "Chevron B40/B42", although I had it down as a B40.

Had I read Bryan Miller's post #9 in the B42 thread all would have been clear!! Last edited by Patrese256; 14 Aug 2008 at 07:10. |

This car was probably the one Patrese ran at Donington F2 round in 1977, with BMW M12, then to Macau with BDA and subsequently to Steve Millen, Bob Donaldson and Wayne Ford

As Chris says it's the same car that Riccardo raced at Donington and Macau. |

We have just purchased the 40-77-07 car from Japan. In Pieces can anyone help me with photos or information of the car when it was running.
Thanks, Adam Last edited by MMS; 20 Nov 2014 at 21:30. |

Dunn / Coghill B40
Hello.
Found couple photos on the Forum of Esprits racing at Ingliston..... http://tentenths.com/forum/showthrea...96#post2395596 .....as I mentioned at the end of that Thread, car #101 is George Coghill. When I saw him a couple weekends ago up at Golspie, he said it was Chevron B40 based. Apparently George bought it from Marty Dunn, who ran it open-wheel, whereas George put the Esprit body on it to run it in Scottish GT car class. It was converted back when he sold it, but he can't remember to whom, nor when..... Marty ran it in 1981, then George as an Esprit in (as far as I can see...) '82 and '83. Does this fit in with the history of anyone's chassis, and does it still exist ? |

In the description provided on that website, many informations are provided about the threee Fred Opert cars. Very precise, but it doesn't fit with other pieces of information gathered in here so far
