The shoot out was rather uninteresting this year. It seemed like a few people were driving well within there limits, deciding a straight car was better than pole.

This is for all us Ford fans out there

what about the crowd, they reckon 50,000. Surely not, there were heaps of bald patches in the crowd, especially coming out of the cutting.

Valve Bounce has been held in scrutiny for further testing
Many of us have posted before - this is the ultimate track. You can forget about Silverstone, Monza, or Spa. Nothing compares with Mt Panorama. I understand this race was televised in the U.K., and I'd like our friends there to tell us what their impressions of ths race track are. This would be the ultimate track to stage an F1 race, where the most gifted driver would win, no question. The hot shoes would end up against the wall up in the mountain.
And I am risking my entire credibility here to say that, without doubt, MSch would win here in the Ferrari. His ability would see to that. What do you reckon, Wrex?

Accee should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I returned late last night from my first 'live' Bathurst experience.
What a weekend. I hung out at SBRs area. The ecstacy and the agony for them, Sat all pumped up with the Konica wins and pole for Marcus,
Sun, a miss in the Pirtek motor at practise, hard work, and all for nothing, then a freak hailstorm put the Caltex car out too.Sad day in the camp after that.
Camping was fun, big nights around the campfire, nice HOT showers every time!! COLD cold nights ( learned after the first night to sleep in my clothes!)and as predicted, copious amounts of alcohol.
The most unpredictable day on Sunday weatherwise.
I met Wayne Wakefield and am now a fan and think he deserves a drive,
a real talent and what a nice guy.
I was really amazed at the track...TV never does it justice, so much steeper that it looks.
I did got to Paul Weels garage to see if I could see any of you guys but didnt know who was just hanging out, next time we need to make more specific arrangements for a meet.
I dont know if I will do that again as sitting around the TV at home might be a bit more comfortable, but there is really nothing like being at the track.
