angst should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Just been reading 'Ask Nigel' on the Autosport site, and he mentioned how great a race would be with TGF, Mika, JV etc in CART. If CART regs (technical) were used, do you think F1 would offer better racing? Do you think it would be preferable to what we have now?

I think it would be at least more exciting, because imagine all the guys with similar engines and chassis, they would have to prove they are good drivers, and think about the minardiĀ“s and prostĀ“s, can could they beat the other guys?.

I think that the best drivers would still shine in CART based equipment over lesser ones. But, using a CART formula would eliminate the one thing that F1 considers paramount, its Constructors Championship.

KC, why would it be the end of the constructors championship? All the sporting regs would remain the same (ie each team must build it's own car) but the technical regs would be CART based.

Sorry, I assumed it was meant that chassis and engine packages would be purchased instead of built. If F1 were to adopt CART's formula I think many would be amazed at how quick some drivers would be and how mediocre others would become. It would be a great experiment, but then it would prove that Max was wrong and everyone knows he's never been wrong.

botsquad has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
ok. heres the plan.

f1 run using the cart spec package.

f1 stages 2 uspg's.

both at ims, one on the oval the there other on the other one.

the oval race would be 500 miles.

they have it on memorial day weekend.

presto. the magic is back
