PI System2
Anybody use (or has used) the PI System 2 dash logger?
It's display seems a bit 'sparse' compared to what I am used to (Astratech). Is it any good? I need a quick answer as I have to replace by Astratech because it blew up at Cadwell (along with several other things), I need something by Saturday to fit it ahead of Lydden! Thanks. |

System 2 is very good, much better than the C dash which needs an external logger and also has no internal battery so if you switch off power to the logger it loses all the data! The system 2 will log and display all the parameters you need for club racing, try and get one with the backlight option fitted as the plain dash doesn't always show up very well. It will log about 40 mins track activity, in race mode it gives revs, lap times, corner min. speeds and straight max speeds and has a yellow max rev warning light plus red warning light for the usual things like oil pressure, water temp and low battery voltage. There are afew cheap s/h ones around or Pi may do a deal on new stock as it has been superceded by the new steering wheel mounted dash and logger.

Ta for that.
I managed to get my Astratech working again by buying the what appears to be the last logger in existance but will be looking again at dashes later on, or when my Astratech blows up again. They have a System 2 replacement coming out later this year, should be interesting. |

give Jason Watkins a ring. He is sales manager for PI Research. He should be able to sort you out something.
