Your best bet is Competition Car Insurance. http://www.competition-car-insurance.co.uk/

Don't know about health insurance - whatever the problems of the NHS, their trauma care is top notch.
But when I started racing about 15 years ago (I'm now nearly 60) I asked my life insurance companies if I would be covered if the worst happened. The answers were all through clenched teeth (difficult by letter, but clearly discernable), "Yes".

So unless Life policies have changed, you may be okay for that.
but let it not happen!
