Chance of rotary is zero because:

Engine is free except following restrictions: Only Petrol and Diesel 4 stroke engines with reciprocating pistons are permitted. (draft 2014 regs)

(More fuel for the fire... fire being the 787B ban myth. )

There seems to be some consensus and the original sentence given in municipal court was in a way incompetent.

This has been quite big media story here for two years, I don't think he has been thinking about racing lately.

Today, Mazda announces exhibition of LMP2 with Skyactiv-D in Mazda Fan Festa. Yes, it's blue Lola chassis.
However, the concrete plan was not unveiled although it declared the participating plan to LM24 and ALMS.

I don't think that kind of basic things change anymore, so it doesn't matter if it is a draft or not. Also, this was already mentioned in June (page 5)

Well, they have to sell it someone, maybe they will race it at Le Mans and or ALMS.
If they only sell it to 1 team, then it's an guaranteed Le Mans entry if the team wants it to race there.

Don't really understand the tweet. Does he mean Grand-Am?

Would fly in the face of what a lot of people are saying which is that the Z4 GTE is headed for ALMS and WEC is being looked at.

Nice to see something get confirmed from these teams, even if it is as a partnership.

No word on the engine. Status has been rumoured as a potential Mazda candidate so let's see. I suppose there's an outside chance they could do Sebring if they are so well set up to race in the States.

We heard a diesel from Mazda on a dyno, but we know it's 'crap'? I'll wait till I hear it in the back of an LMP to judge.
