I am going to calculate scores for Qualifying in a few minutes....

But I wanted to apologize to Drewdawg and marcus for not getting the cntest posted before I left for Sebring.....

I was very busy working for a motorsports consulting group that I am a member of, and I was getting the final pieces together on a new International Sports car Manufacturers Association (ISCMA)that has been formed, and I had to release the news to the media.

We still have some work to do, but this new orgainization is an unprecedented step in this industry to bring constructors together as a unified group to ensure the future of that portion of motorsports.

I'm excited about it...I have builders from the USA and the UK involved thus far (they have formed an Executive Committtee to set fees, etc.) with inquiries from Germany, the USA, Japan, and South America that are interested in possibly joining.

I'll post results in a few....but I wanted others who were interested in our contest to know that I am sorry that I did not get the "Pick 'Ems" contest posted until I returned from Sebring this week...You deserve more than 48 hours notice to enter...and I feel badly about not giving you more time to enter.

Here are the results after Qualifying:

Tim and Flavinha has Hornish on the Pole for 2 points each.

Tim also was closest to the Qualifying time...I had 217.9 and Hornish was 218.5.

Since I hit both, I got two bonus points.

In the Top Six, Dr, Disque had 5 pts. with four of the six and Kanaan in the correct spot.

Flavinha had 6 pts with four of the six and Hornish and Kanaan in the correct spots.

Tim had 7 pts with four of six correct, and three (Hornish, Dixon, Kanaan) all in the correct spots on the grid.

All three had Chesson as the slowest qualifier for 2 pts.

Flavinha and Tim both had Hornish as the Top Dallara for 2 pts.

No one had Danica as the Top Panoz qualifier.

Totals after Qualifying:

1. Tim N. -- 17 pts.
2. Flavinha -- 12 pts.
3. DrDisque -- 11 pts.

Good Luck tomorrow....

It should be a wild race!!!! Very Competitive!!!

I'm disappointed as I missed out this time round (and you can't give Tim any head start!).

But if that is the reason then there is no need to apologise! Sounds like tremendous fun and very exciting... now where is that "green with envy" emoticon...

Here are your Results for this weekend

Tim N. & Flavinha both had Wheldon as the winner for 2 pts.

Flavinha had 5 pts, with 4 of the 5, Tim had 4 pts. with 3 of the 5 and DrDisque had 3 pts with 3 of the 5.

No one had Dixon with the fast lap, and Flavinha was closest to the actual speed of 216.264 by a very close margin to DrDisque...(.473 to .516)

Tim and Flavinha picked up 4 pts each with Hornish at 50 laps and Wheldon at 200 laps, and DrDisque scored points at lap 150 with Hornish for 2 pts.

Since everyone qualified, I counted Paul Dabna, Ed Carpenter, Buddy Rice and Danica as 1st out...I've done that in the past, so this is consistent. Tim and Flavinha both got two points

The best "mover" was Wheldon., from 6th to 1st (accordint ot the IRL charts)...no onne had him.

The "Fall," based on qualifying, was Danica - 3rd to 20th. although I would have counted kanaan, since he did fall the most of those who started (4th to 11th)

DrDisque was closest to the average speed of 167 mph....

Final totals:

1. Tim - 29 pts.
2. Flavinha - 27 bpts.
3. DrDisque - 18 pts.

See you next week at St.Pete.

ENTER!!!!!
