V8 Superdave should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Ok, here we go:

Today sees the announcement of a new West Australian race team joining the V8SC circus, WOW Racing (Way Out West).

Then team is excited to announce that it has secured the services of Craig Lowndes, who also brings with him the Caterpillar sponsorship, and Jason Bargwanna as drivers for the 2004 season.

"I'm delighted to be a part of this new set up, and look forward to the challenge of getting these cars up and running ASAP" said newly recruited Team manager Jeff Grech, yestarday, at the team's new purpose-built headquarters in Perth's northern suburb of Malaga.

"Having purchased the SBR cars from last year is a great foot-up for us, we hope to be able to hit the ground running and give the other teams a scare from day 1. We've done a day's worth of private testing, and the cars look great, and both Jason & Craig feel good about the cars."

Team owner Alan Bond is also pleased to be involved in racing again, albeit of a type he's not previously been a part of. "This is a really great series to be participating in... i don't remember when i've ever felt so good about a new venture"

Team name: "WOW Racing"
Located: Western Australia
Sponsors: Swan Brewery, Caterpillar, Aussie Home Loans
Drivers: #6 Craig Lowndes
#10 Jason Bargwanna

Manufacturer: Ford
Test Track: Yet to be sanctioned Bunbury track, projected round to be held early 2005

I realise I still have 2 Million but I'm trying to run on a Minardi budget if you get my drift. I might even use that on good enduro drivers so having this much in the cap would help for that reason.

OAKLEY TEAM MVMOTORSPORT RETURNS FOR A SECOND YEAR

Oakley Team MVMotorsport managing director MattV has today confirmed that his team will contest the 2004 FVESCO championship.

MattV has stated that they will race the same VY commodores as last year, however the livery will be updated to be more disgusting than last years pink/purple effort.

"We want to have cars that stand out, and if that means ugly then we are prepared to do whatever it takes." MattV was quoted as saying.

Oakley Team MVMotorsport has also announced a new sponsorship partner in GIO. "Given the number of accident's our drivers were in last year, which were not necessarily our fault, we have decided to get an insurance company on board." GIO, whilst providing no money to the team will repair the cars for a nominal excess amount, whilst protecting the drivers no claim bonus.

MattV is proud to announce the line up as follows:

Car 3 Jason Bright
Car 4 Jason Richards
Car 34 Dale Brede

Oakley Team MVMotorsport is hopeful of a good result in this years championship and will release the livery when designed.

I think I should probably clarify a few things:

The enduro drivers idea is to add or subtract single drivers to your squad as if they were normal drivers. So if you have 3 drivers, you don't need 3 enduro drivers (not that you could with a 4-driver limit anyway). Treat them like a special two-race extension to the driver pool.

Also, a salary cap is a plug to stop spending, not a hat to save money in. Lets just say you have unlimited money but I say you can't have more than $3M worth of drivers at any one time

Hope that helps

I was planning to have a 3rd car for Bathurst only. Just to fill up the grid you see.

I am aware of the rules (I'm not that dumb), but it's my team, and as co-owner it is my responsibility to inform the public of our decisions.

Dominion Breweries is only too proud to announce the formation of the Keen Kar Klub. With a budget constituting 47 cents per kilo for empty DB draught cans the KKK are extremely confident of drinking their way to unprecedended success in this years championship. The unique construction technique of moulding the cars from crushed cans and the money saved on helmets replaced with a typical KKK accessories should ensure podium results.A spokesperson for DB commented today that in his twenty two years supporting motorsport he has never been involved with a team displaying such devotion to raising funds.A nation wide tour will shortly commence with a view to signing up supporters to help with the cause.
Name - KKK racing
Sponsers - Simms Metal,Dominion Breweries,Betty Ford Clinic.
Drivers - Russell Ingall Anthony Tratt Mr Keen ( drivers to be breathalised prior to each event.Lowest reading gets to drive.Highest reading qualifies)

F|sh should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Team Name: Fish Motorsport
Major Sponsor: Aussie battlers/Centrelink
Drivers: #53 Steven Ellery
#1 Marcos Ambrose
Test Track: Any industrial area/ Wanneroo Raceway

After MArcus's and steven's shock sacking from SBr and Scar a new team has come out from the woodwork totally built on Centrelink benefits and doing doorknocks this team has some potential to upstage the bigger teams. Having upgraded the braking system and removed weight from various spots on the ex SBR cars and new moulded seat to tightly hold drivers to remove the need for harness. It should be a great year for FMS.

There has been much speculation on other forums surrounding the issue of 00 XR8 running a team in 04. After a very succesful 03 season, Mr 00 XR8 has confirmed they will be back in 04. The details however are still being sorted out so the team won't be launched for a week or two yet. 00 says its his strategy, we say he is a lazy ****.

He did however deny rumours that he would be fieling a single car outfit for Thexton, saying that, quote, "We are planning on getting real racing drivers......"
