And why not Lewis Hamilton or James Rossiter or Susie Stoddart or Johnny Herbert or Ryan Sharp?
Difficult to know the criteria being applied. Race winners in powerful cars? Giving underfunded up-and-coming young guns a chance? Winning the championship at all costs? Is there an element of philanthropy, whilst retaining competitiveness, as has been mooted? Who WILL win the drive(s) and who SHOULD win the drives may be totally different things. Who SHOULD win it, will always be subjective and dependent on criteria, which we will never know. As always, it will be a balance of factors. |

UK Seat Poll
In my humble old (nearly 30yrs old.....) opinion, the lurvely Adam Carroll should get the drive.
He is proving to be as fast in GP2 as he was in F3, so A1GP shouldn't be too much of a problem for him. GO ADAM !!!!!!!!. |

out of the four drivers in the running for the drive i dont see there is any doubt in my mind who should get it. If the drive was given out of merit all i say is who else has ever won the F3 scholarship and main F3 championship back to back. i dont think it has ever been done before. Even if you take a look at when Robbie stepped into the Zytek sportscar the other year for the first time at silverstone. Pole by nearly 2 seconds. it doesnt come better than that and that was against ex formula 1 drivers as well. How is it that someone with so much talent can be left on the sidelines.
