Fred Bromley should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Donington 21st & 22nd: Drivers Thank You

I have just got round to reading my emails from the last week and found one from Sara Wernham, the Officials Srecratary at BARC. I have copied the body of it below.

It is always nice to recieve thanks from the drivers.

I do not know who was involved with this particular incident but I am sure the drivers THANKS are directed to all Marsals and Medics.

To all the Marshals & Medical crew at Donington on the 21/22nd Oct 2006, can I thank you all for
being there and doing a fantastic job.* Without your help & support we (the racers) would not be
able to compete.
*
Sunday the 22nd was saw some terrible weather and we really do appreciate you guys and girls for
staying out there, and I believe you did not even have a brake.
I would especially like to thank the marshals that were on the exit of 'Coppice' on Sunday afternoon.
* I had an incident with another car and you were all so good as a team in looking after me and the
safety of others.
*
Thanks to the medical crew who assisted me to the medic centre and to all inside.* you were all so
kind and caring.* You all did a fantastic job.
*
Many thanks to the hole team - the ones on the surface and all behind the scenes, I have had a
fantastic season racing, and hope to see you all again next year (hopefully not the medics - sorry!!)
*
Keep doing a great job

I bet I was on the scene before you Snatchman, trying to miss it! Joking aside it was a nasty one was'nt it and destroyed two beautifully turned out cars.

I was next on scene (and had a lot further to run!).
It did look very nasty, I trust the Escort driver is OK?

What was you driving Al and how did you do in the restarted race? I haven't really heard how the driver is after he was taken away.

Fortunately, on this occassion due to qualifing maladies I started at the back or I would have been in the thick of it, I was in the yellow and black stripped 2nd Gen Camaro. We (CTCRC) have had an email from Jason the Escort driver that he has left hospital earlier this week and is a bit sore but OK I also understand the Camaro driver Jimmy is OK, bloody shame about that car it was mint. The race was restarted with a green flag lap and we did 7 laps it was a good race though in the end and managed to work my way up to 10th I think it was but was still trying to get my brain around where the gears was in my reverse acting gearshift linkage so could have been better! :-(

Rachel was our only incident of the weekend - barring a few "wide through the gravel and continued" and a bit of clearing up.

I'm glad that Rachel sounds to be OK now. We were a bit worried about both our drivers - neither looked very perky after the incident... which is not VERY surprising. We thought the other driver (sorry, can't remember who it was) had got away with it until the very last moment.

It's always nice when we get feedback about or from drivers who have been in a big accident so (if you are reading this) thanks Rachel
