The only thing that can be deduced from those lap times is the existence of the Higgs boson.
Come Schummy, show these guys some stats. |

Fastest lap means very little, most of the field could set a fastest lap if they really wanted to - just put on some new super softs with a few laps to go and get in clean air.
Fastest lap isn't a good gauge for who has the fastest car. How many times has Webber set fastest lap on the final lap? That doesn't mean he had the fastest car, it means he wanted to boost his ego and take a big risk on the last lap with low fuel. Whoever gets fastest lap also depends on whether you're in traffic when the tyres and fuel is at it's most optimum and if it's even necessary to drive as fast as you can. Vettel nearly set the fastest lap in this race - when he did that 1m 34.5 it wasn't until the last lap of the race that Hamilton and Webber narrowly beat it. Again both were probably trying to prove something. And Vettel definitely didn't have the fastest car on the day. |

Kimi can't have been that useless then, so fastest lap must has some relevance to his standing as a diver.

Hamilton for me, but all three front runners deserve a very well done.
Sutil also worthy of a mention. P |

Good race by Hamilton, Alonso & Webber - with Hamilton/McLaren the strongest combination.
My driver of the race though is Adrian Sutil. A really good race by him, for once not at Monaco. |
