Very sad news I received this afternoon. I was at Snetterton when John Jordan's ex-mechanic Dave Finnigan called me to say that John passed away last night, peacefully in his sleep. He was 85. It was poignant to receive this news there, where I had seen him racing his GT40 and M6B so often in the late 60s and early 70s.

Dave and Tony Trimmer had been to visit him last week, to talk over old times and Dave said he seemed 'chipper' enough, in fine shape, therefore the news last night is a bit of a shock. Details on funeral etc we do not know yet.
RIP John and thanks for the many memories.

Sad news indeed, but a good innings from someone who clearly enjoyed life to the full.

RIP, John

Indeed, great sadness. I true character not only in motorsport and aviation, but in our local area.

RIP JJ.

I'll go along with that, too. One of life's gentlemen, but he also made the the most of the opportunities to enjoy life that came his way.
