2005 10Tenths Touring Car Predictions Competitions

Hi All!

This year we will be running Predictions Competitions for each of the major Touring Car Series’ – DTM, World Touring Car Championship and the British Touring Car Championship.

Running the DTM series will be JMeissner, I will be running the WTCC Predictions and in charge of the BTCC Predictions will be Hazard, who has kindly agreed to manage the Championship.

Each Predictions Championship will run to essentially the same format. We will ask you to predict the Pole Sitter For Race 1, and the Top 3 in each race. The DTM has one race during the weekend while the WTCC has 2, and the BTCC 3. Entries will be open throughout the season and we will ask you for a tie-breaker question when you enter for the first time.

Points will be awarded as follows:

Predict the Correct Pole Sitter = 5 points
Predict a driver in their correct finishing position = 3 points
Predict a driver in the Top 3, but not in their correct finishing position = 1 point.

Maximum Possible Scores for each championship are:
DTM: 14 points
WTCC: 23 points
BTCC: 32 points

The championship winner at the end of the year for each series will receive the special prize of One Years Free Subscription to 10-Tenths. Should an existing subscriber win the Championship, their Subscription will be extended by One Year. More information can be found on Subscriptions here .

The Race dates for each series are available at the following sites:
www.btcc.net www.fiawtcc.com www.dtm.de

In general, Competition Entry threads will be posted up the weekend before an event, and entries will be accepted up until Midnight Friday before the Race Weekend, or the first Practice Session, whichever is sooner of the two.

Look out for the first BTCC and WTCC Predictions Entries which will be posted up later this week.

And good luck for the season, we hope you enjoy taking part!

Forgot the other new rules this season:

5 points guessing pole - or 1 point if it's an Alfa
3 points for guessing the right position - or 2 points if it's an Alfa
1 point for guessing a car anywhere in the top 3 - or 0.5 points if it's an Alfa

i'll be doing the btcc comp again, i remember someone mentioning last year that there was no prize, if people like the idea i could send the competition winner an A3 photo printed and btcc 2005 poster

see
http://www.btcc-racing.com/posters.asp
for an idea of what the poster will look like
