Good News for 'Skoda' Fans.

Last night (and a substantial part of this morning!) we went to the BARC NW annual do. Good news, straight from the horse's mouth - Tony Sugden & the Skoda will be racing again this season!

The shape! It was built (in the 1980s?) to a silhouette formula which also stipulated that the engine had to be in the same position as in the original car, so building a 'Skoda' allowed them to use a modern (at the time) sports/racing chassis.

The Europa Sports/Saloon Champioship is full of unusual cars - how about a mid-engined V8 'Sierra RS500', Lotus Elans so low that you've got to kneel down to talk to the driver, several Darrians/Davrians, & not forgetting our fellow marshal Duncan Auklands absolutely immaculate, indecently fast, Rover SD1. Great series, & a great bunch of drivers, several of whom bought me a pint last night!
