Osamu Nakajima

Osamu Nakajima, generally known as "Osamu", passed away last October 21st.
He was the founder and eventual racer of team LeyJun. His team lasted in F-Nippon between 1997 and 2000, and later turned to Japanese GT racing in the minor class GT300.

I felt sympathy for his racing team, named after his wife and daughter, and his F-Nippon cars remind me highly the ones of Leyton House, albeit he used blue instead pale blue in the decoration. Generally they were backmarkers, but had moments of glory when they recruited Peter Dumbreck in 1999 with good results and even got a podium with Shinsuke Shibahara in their final season.

Osamu was clearly one of the last gentleman drivers who were in formula scheme in Japan. Rest in peace.
