I may have cast Mk2 manifold- more efficient than Mk1. I'll look in morning! WHOOPS! The Silverstone Classic pic a few posts ago of Gilbern was taken by one of my other favourite snappers, Jeff Bloxham, not Charlie. |

The factory made one 'thin bodied' lightweight car in period. It also had rather ugly w/arch extensions. Neither were homologated but the car is now for sale other side of channel with new HTP. Oh, and also engine with alloy X flow head and twin webers neither of which was homologated either..... Maybe it has been granted prototype status

We all say 'If only' but Bob Phelps of Santa Pod fame had all of his moulds from Fibre Glass Repairs at Bromley taken to Santa Pod and burnt. He had stopped doing major fibre glass repairs and said they took up to much room.As well as the Gilbern he had Lotus Elan 1 and 2s, E type, Spitfires, Austin Healy, you name it and he had a complete set of moulds for it even the Lotus Elite and Eleven, fantastic bloke who when you turned up there and the car took his fancy he would quickly take a mould of it.

He was right about the amount of room they take up- when Aquafibre were in business near here building posh boats the moulds took up acres!
When I collected my proto from Czech Republic had to leave the front body mould behind as it wouldn't fit in van and 3 of us couldn't lift it anyway |

Its never too late to sneak something in eh Delta . . .I just popped out to get some logs . . . . and came home with my latest cylinder head developement from the machine shop with its seat cut on new guides
If I can get a few hours in next week I'll fettle and flow it and see if we've gained anything. |

Delta, Zef, Mike - you three, well what can I say !
I veer violently between 'they can do it, so can I, get out there...' and ' ell it's cold, let's stay inside, arrange presents round the tree, ebay some tat, I can always pull a couple of allnighters to catch up when it's warmer...' |

Winter project
One of my winter projects was to clear a shed out, whilst doindg so i found something that might help with someone elses (Ford related....) projects. It is an alloy Ford bellhousing with an adapter plate for fitting a ZF or Getrag box. PM me if you want more info. Also various split rim bits & some 13" Revo`s.
