That Potential Prema line up looks great.

Giovinazzi must surely return now?

Rowland must get a top seat or he'll be lost.

In both drivers cases it's down to money and what deals they can scrape?

Giovinazzi will probably be at Ferrari next season as reserve driver.
Gelael wants to test many drivers and then choose the best one. I don't know which will be the criteria.
The only good thing with it is that at least one fast driver will be securing a seat regardless of his budget.

Alex K has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Giovinazzi has a dilemma. Isn't he on a short list of candidates for Audi (?) DTM team. He's not with them tomorrow at Jerez, and instead in Abu Dhabi. Curious, esp. that Ferrari link, where Fuoco just signed with PREMA.

i think Giovinazzi - audi links vanished a while ago , anyway next year Dtm goes down to 6 cars (instead of 8) for each manufacturer i cannot not see any room for rookies

no, and with the wec team vanishing i think the days of drivers jumping into dtm seats are probably over. it's going to require a tedious apprenticeship in blancpain or similar to get anywhere near dtm...

I think Gio end up in DTM next year but with Merc. Can't see Ferrari having a virgin reserve in F1

Fyi mercedes already hired edo mortara and as mentionned before dtm will go from 8 to 6 , so if i follow your thinking mercedes will have to get rid of 3 drivers...

Ferrari seems to have an open seat, or two in their factory GT teams stateside, and possibly one in WEC, Jagonya Ayam entered prototype in IMSA, maybe it's not F1, nor DTM... maybe prot/GT for Giovinazzi?

Cannot see Max Gunther in GP2 Series in 2017 despite him saying he is in talks with teams, he will probably be back in Euro F3 in 2017

Does anyone think that Cecotto has got a budget together and is considering returning full time next year or do you think Rapax just got him in and kept him on for the tests as he is a bit of a Yas Marina specialist?

Anyone would think he was an ace if it wasn't for the billion races he'd already done in the category!

Made a few of the season regulars look a bit ordinary though didn't he?

Time to move on... Guenther tested Mercedes at Jerez, seems like there is one seat empty at HWA, so who knows?

He likes to go down the ranks, testing Macaoing, etc but always comes back. Surprising is that test when Mercedes is testing in Spain at the time.

As i previously mentionned here, DTM will go from 8 down to 6 for each manufacturer in 2017 , and on the top of that Mercedes already hired Edo Mortara so Mercedes has to split with at least 3 of its 2016 drivers (juncadella likely to be one of them)

It's a rookie test, not a young driver test. Also it doesn't exclude existing drivers.

Thought, I saw somewhere on twitter Paffett and Eksroem and few existing tested/will be testing, and only day 1 was for newbies... Although I am in a bit of a shock over what happened in F1 so can't think straight.

Was Cecotto out of the top 5 at any point over the three days? Interesting to see King go faster in the MP car than Rowland went in the DAMS.
