Ted Walker should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Bev Bond

Does anyone know what happened to him ??? Is he still alive and if so can anyone help me with a contact No.I have just liberated an F2 Brabham from "long term" storage and I beleive it could be a car he raced as an F3 car for EMC in 68.

Bev is very alive and running a driving school in Bournemouth I believe. Sorry no contact number, but many memories of his F3 days, from works Lotus to Ensign to running a privateer March 713. If I remember correctly he then got involved with Harry Stiller and did a few Atlantic races in a March before a certain Alan Jones took over the drive. At all the races he was always ably assisted by his mum!!

I can confirm that as I bumped into him there a few years ago . Don't remember the name of his driving school though - It certainly wasn't anything easily associated with him. Next time I'm down there I'll have a look through Yellow pages and see if anything rings a bell. Maybe Directory Enquiries ?

Was Bev or Stiller anything to do with a GRD of some sort that I saw at a model village called "Tucktonia" near Bournemouth in the late 70s ??

Tucktonia was in the grounds of the pub( The Golfer Arms )that Harry Stiller owned, but I don't remember the car.

Stiller went on to the dizzy heights of F1 with a privateer March with sponsorship from Custom Made double glazing which I believe he was involved with, providing Alan Jones with his first GP ride IIRC. Wonder what happened to Harry?

Don't know what happened to Harry but it was a Hesketh 308 that Stiller ran with Custom Made backing for Jones in 1975. Came across a nice photo the other day of him waving Peterson and Mass past while going through the Casino section at Monaco. Sadly, as it is not mine to post, I can't share it with you

Cheers

Michael
