Channel 10
Even though it was the bikes last night I must say that Channel 10 did a great job of the telecast, just as they were going to an ad the music started Rusty said the normal "See you after the break" and then Rossi repassed Biaggi and Rusty was back saying that they were staying with the action ,they ditched the ad for about a lap and watched the dice untill Biaggi had got a little gap on Rossi.
I would also like to add that despite being somewhat mono toned and dull sounding from time to time D Beattie did a great job also.It was a great race but you could sense that DB was really enjoying it and secretly wanting to be there himself. All in all a great job. This may well get shifted to the bike forum but given that plenty of times 10 cop it in here I thought credit where credit is due |

Yes, I was very impressed with that myself, Onlooker. I think I'm the only one in Oz that doesn't mind listening to Beattie, he's not as flambouyant as say Bazza, but there's no doubting his knowledge of all things on two wheels.
Two thumbs up 10!! |

I think that behind the scenes young Daryl is a bit more flambouyant when switched to "Party Mode" going from all the little half jokes that just about everyone in 10 seems to be willing to gaod him with during live crosses.

Daryl's voice may ba a little monotonic, but I'd much rather here that than lots of shouting, gibberish and OOh AAh! His knowledge and experience also add greatly to his commentary.

The thing to remember though is that the MotoGP race on 10 was a delayed telecast, not live. Why were they cutting to a commercial break when they knew what was about to happen?
