Huffaker Genie Mark 8

can anyone tell me anything about these early 1960's sports racers, what engine where they fitted in period and did they have any competition history outside of States.

Nordic should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

yes I saw that website but it seems to dismiss all Genies in one sentence! What I am interested to know is whether Mk 8's were competitive to BT8s etc..

Nordic should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
The best year for the Mk 8 seems to have been 63 when in ran eithe a chevy or olds engine, they came first & second in a USRRC race at Pacific Raceway one with pedro rodreguiz driving, by 65 the Mk10 seems to have taken over.
