mha should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Suppliers brought spares, tyres & fuel to FF Championship rounds so this is not new. Don't think it made much difference to the costs though ..

That is certain to cause its demise. The V8 teams have a hard problem with costs because of the travelling let alone a struggling open wheeler team. Costs are massive no matter what the class if you want to run at the pointy end and if anyone wants to help me with some money feel free. Karts tried a similar thing some years ago and it fell very flat.

Think all the French F4 cars are sponsored by Total - pity Shell or someone like that didn't jump on board, sponsor all the cars, have TAFE students for example work on the cars, no teams or testing outside the race weekend & drivers pay there 50 grand year to race the season...

Plenty of negativity around about F4 in Australia.

Personally I think it is the best thing to happen to Australian Motorsport in years!

Especially the way CAMS have gone about it getting behind open wheel racing.

CAMS have copped plenty of flack about their (perceived - I blame the motorsport media!)) lack of support for open wheel racing so it is great to see them being pro active on this front.

Lets hope this Series gets plenty of support.

Sure is

I can understand i guess after alot of thought Formula Ford/Formula 4 being kept in line with the rest of the world, it is a junior category and a driver with his sights set on Europe it is abit of a link.

I have never understood why our open-wheelers (above Formula Ford/Formula 4) need to be relevant to the rest of the world. Touring Cars have shown for decades that doing it the Australian way is the the best way to success.

The current lot of F3 cars are getting old and not attracting a grid. We have a very capable local manufacturer of cars in Spectrum. We have tonnes of V8Supercar engines and parts in Australia. Just an idea....

I see 2013 Formula Ford Champion Anton De Pasquale has won the Formula Renault 1.6-litre Northern European Cup on the weekend

Nexy year he expects to compete in the Formula Renault 2.0-litre Northern European Cup

Is this something we are missing out on in Australia

At the moment, it's all over the shop. Investors are tearing up money left right and centre to get kids as high up the ladder as possible in a single bound, with little to no racecraft. Besides, you only peak at one level below incompetency.

There's a reasonably healthy European series, but it's hard to imagine that making cars just for that one series is very economically viable.
