Hickey should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Liam Doran to Kenneth Hansen Motorsport

Morning,

Thought I would be the first to break the news. Liam is off to drive a very well put together C4!!

So, when will we see the first Brit to win an ERC round since (enter RX-guru's knowledge here/John Cross/Richard Hutton?)? Can he win the title in the next couple of years?

At least it should free up Pat to do the full ERC this year.

Adam

From ERC24.com:

The most sought after drive in Rallycross has gone to Liam Doran, the 22-year-old Englishman announcing this morning that he will join Kenneth Hansen Motorsport Total-Citroën for the 2010 European Rallycross Championship.

Last Brit to win an ERC round: Richard Hutton 1994 at Buxtehude/Germany.

Interesting news for sure. I wonder if this means that one or both of the Dorans will no longer be part of the BRC season? Or is it possible to run a team in both without events clashing? (Or costs spiralling!)

Oh, and given that the Doran's now have a Fiesta ST going spare I think they should donate it to me!

Brilliant news, was going to decrease my attendance to ERC events next year, after years of following it with very few British drivers I now have a quandry.

Just hope the teddy throwing stops in ERC, though in fairness he driove with maturity in ERC rounds that I saw, only tended to get stroppy in BRC events.

ON the plus side he doesnt seem to wreck cars, and I suppose is taking money to the team, or why else would they want him?

There's quite a lot of teddy throwing in the ERC already so he should feel at home!

There's no doubt the lad's got serious talent and if he can focus it he will take some beating with this team.

Maybe this deal will help get more of the ERC on British TV too?
