Odd that they'd run at all, considering I wouldn't think the 3 factory Aston Martin squads would compete against each other except at Le Mans.

Gives a hint they might run in Sebring. I doubt BMS will attend Sebring, Pirelli always does tyre tests this time of the year at Sebring and BMS is Pirelli development team. |

Why would Pirelli want to do tyre testing at Sebring , they have already said that they will "not" run in ALMS this year .

Thats true , but why would an Italian tyre company ship all the way across the pond for a tyre test ?
Differant track , differant asphalt , very bumpy too , maybe not a great track for a tyre test . I dont know though ! |

I dont have any proof to back this up but personally I have a gut feeling that we may well see BMS at Sebring this year for the Sebring 12 hours. One thing is for sure, it would be good to have them and would be interesting to see how they do against the works Corvettes and the Aston Martin factory team.

They seemed to have some kind of issue getting a handle on their cars this year .... But i agree with you S7R , i reckon there is no other reason to test there , unless you intend to enter the race .
Who was doing the driving ? |

Most of Sebrings pavement is still WW II age concreat runways used for Bomber take off and landings. Tires that hold up on Sebring will hold up any where. |

hi all... here you can find another article about those tests... http://www.racingworld.it/fiagt/noti...?idtitolo=2877
i have been in contact with them and Pirelli wanted to test the tires at Sebring because it was the most demanding track and they wanted to compare the "new" FIA-GT 2007 tyres with the "old" ALMS tyres used by the factory team, the drivers for this test are Fabio Babini and the young promising Matteo Malucelli |

P.S. at the moment it's just a test and it seems very unlikely they will race at the 12H
