356sc should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I know of a couple of 356s that fancy an entry!!

...and if the smallness of our engine capacity is an issue I am sure we can make it louder Mike!

More to the point

A 356A Speedster GT

Without doubt one of the most significant of the 356ís based in UK

The S90ís and SCís did have a racing history but not as significant as Speedsters , Aís or Pre Aís

Seems Goodwood has forgotten that place closed for racing in 67 so why these late Cars?

Itís so well marketed they could have dodgem cars and it would sell out so why not be historically factual with real cars that some parts were made in period and raced up to closure of circuit.
One hell of a lot of makes.

Thought organisation at circuittís idea was to present,as it was in the day ,both MM and Revival and a celebration of all things Goodwood?

Canít see them doing late F2 or mirroring what went on at Thruxton in early days before it came a less used circuit which mirrored the decline of BARC.

Yes I take your point but I thought the idea of the MM was to reflect the ethos of the Members Meetings rather than the period. That said they need to be careful because as you say:

Late F2 would be too fast for the circuit and slicks etc. are a no no. But, the HSCC has tried to replicate the Thruxton events, such as the Easter Weekends (which I used to enjoy).

How about a Special/Super Saloons and/ or Modsports race at the MM meeting?

I don't know enough about Goodwood's history to know whether these sorts of cars raced at Goodwood in the day, but then neither did GP 1 Saloon Cars. Special saloons and Modsports are historically significant in Uk club racing and were even featured support races on TV at things like the Easter Thruxton meeting in the 1970s.

I'm sure we all have personal favourites that we would like to see at the MM, but don't hold out hope.......

So sad that the Easter revival meetings with F2's never really took off, the one and only reappearance of the glorious F2's some 3-4 years back in the form of the Jochen Rindt trophy never really took off. Terrific battle with Martin O’Connell and Nick Fleming but the event seems to fizzled out. One of the best club meetings I've been to for years if a tad chilly as usual!
