[iV8SC12R05&06] ITM400 Hamilton NZ, 20-22 Apr
There seem to be 4 teams that can get at or near the front of the field.
888, FPR, SBR, and one of the HRT trio seem to be able to get a qualifying set up going, and a solid race result... Now the series ventures to NZ... and the Kiwi pilots seem to lift another level.. Mr van Gisbergen to win, with Mr Murphy & Mr Coulthard to figure in the top 10 somewhere? |

You're right about it seemingly being an 888/FPR race at the front, with SBR occasionally nipping at their heels from the Giz, Coulthard showed some strong soft tyre pace at the GP, could he be a dark horse?
This track always seems to throw up an entertaining result, with some Adelaide style carnage. Wondering if we might have a wet race and a surprise result? FPR's old style mistake seem to be creeping back in a little, they want to get on top of that! |

Gizzy all the way!! it was epic being there last year when he won R2 and did the burnout at turn 3.
Would love to see a repeat of that but i must say FPR do look strong and T8 seem a little dysfunctional at the moment. |

Jamie hinted at it on the weekend at tasie in one of his intreviews, something is going on behind the scenes. in the early part of last years they were dominating, Since bathurst they have lacked a little compared to their high standard, little errors, like a fuel mapping issue at clipsal. in saying that FPR as a team are probably equal to them at the moment and they also make some little errors |

I don't think T8 would be happy with their performance so far this year, especially seeing how dominant they have been in the past.
FPR seem to be setting the benchmark for 2012 |

What a ****** and a whinger. Something good happens in the tron, and theres always one lil pr*ck who has to have a go.
Its the last time they are going to race there, so why doesn't he just get over it, enjoy the festivities and then when the sunday comes along he can get back to normal....for ever and ever.. Surprised that this gentleman has the guts to show his face and name all over the media....there are some staunch supporters out there. |

Did you see him interviewed on TV?
He is a real oddball. He has pocketed $21000 up 'til now and he still wants more. What's worse is his grand-standing (pardon the pun) about health and safety, when his real motivation is - money, money, money! |

Didn't realise about the 21k though, that makes me think less of him than what i did. He won't win this battle though i am pretty sure of this. Especially seeing as we are now within days of the event occuring and the track and infrastructure is coming together. |

Just a shakedown it seems, trying to scare them into settling with him so he goes away quietly.

Speaking of shakedowns... this one at Winton...
James Courtney Gets New Chassis @ Hamilton I hear there is a book on what session this new car will get 'christened' in... |

I don't really get why they need to replace Little Jim's Commie with a new chassis when it becomes obsolete after only 9 months before COTF. What WP should do is just write off this year and focus on 2013.

Why bother going to the end of the year with an unused chassis that devalues drastically?

For those of you in NZ who are looking to record the coverage on MySky, it is packed into about 9 or 10 different programme blocks which is a monumental blunder. Series link seems to have no effect so you have to select each one manually.
Also, TV3 have some coverage on Friday afternoon so don't forget to record that as well. Enjoy the Grand Finale for the streets of Hamilton! |

well i got my tickets this weekend from ticketek, and the dude behind the counter told me that only 700 tix remain for g/stand and 25,000 GA tx remain.
Those numbers sound quite healthy to me at this stage. Looks like the weather may cooperate as well, with a predominantly easterly flow over the city for the weekend |
