SpeedTV.com's latest notes from Petit mention that the #16 Dyson will also not be allowed to participate in qualifying due to using the Butanol fuel. It's also a bio-butanol, and mix of gasoline and only about 15% bio-butanol.

In the 3th practice the Peugeot cars did more than 60 laps, while the Audis only did 40. So they are focussing on speed over long stints. Anyway, according to Montagny (in EI interview) Audi has an excellent front, while with Peugeot it is the opposit (the rear is better). This gives Peugeot the upperhand in the dry, but Audi should be better in the wet. |

now me, being the dumbass that i am, changed the cable tv provider 2 weeks before this race. I had Motors TV on the other guys, but these new guys don't. So, my question is, does anyone knows if there will be some sort of live tv feed? Speed or anyone else? Thanks

McNish has just posted a 1:07:8 in qualifying; RLM are saying that this is the fastest lap of the week so far.

These will probably be the fastest times of the weekend-rain may be there for qualifying, and if so, these times will be the offical grid times, and once the rain shows up, it'll stay until Sunday morning.

For this afternoon, but once the rain gets there, I'll most likely stay for the race-same source predicts a 70-80% chance of rain, and it'll be pretty much a constant light but steady rain until early Sunday morning.

Got a response from RLM concerning listening on your mobile, in this case iPhone. They asked me to pass along the information in any potential Freestream users.
Step 1: Head over to iTunes and grab the free app Fstream (will open iTunes). Step 2: Open Fstream and tap the star (favorites) at the bottom. Step 3: Tap Edit at the top/left. Step 4: Tap Add new webradio Step 5: Enter one of these two mms urls. (don’t worry about format and bitrate) mms://mercury.radica.com/radioshowltd1 mms://venus.radica.com/radioshowltd1 Step 6: Tap Save. Tap Done. Step 7: Tap Play at the bottom (next to the Star) Step 8: Tap your saved url in the list. It will buffer in and play. *I had to go into More… and turn on Cellular network These are new links even though they are nearly the same as the old ones. |

Weather.com is stating a 70% chance of rain from race start to finish.
It look like it is going to be a wet one. |

Better than up here in Virginia, 90% chance of rain and 58 (14C) degrees. That would make for a crappy race viewing at the track, although good race on tv probably

Can anyone provide a link or any tech on the whole Corvette not running direct injection? There is some talk on another forum that there is something else going on.

The street Corvette doesn't have DI, the GT2 rules only allow you to use DI if the street engine uses it. But Corvette is using their GT1 engine where DI is allowed no matter what, and they simply retained the system when the engine was moved to GT2.
The ACO and IMSA gave them a waiver to keep the DI system on for the rest of the season, but Porsche objected that this was against the rules. Corvette removed it to avoid an arguement, even though they were allowed to continue to use it by the rule makers. |

Jaime Melo gets a flat tire at the start of GT qualifying, they've already given up on their qualifying. Bummer.

What a coup for Robertson. Amazing drive by Sutherland, too. Times are much slower than last year, oddly. |
