Have ISC been looking at doing stuff like this for a long time?

I have read a theory at another forum in which land around Colorado Springs is in a commercial real-estate boom and the land on which PPIR lies may well be worth more as something other than a race track. The firm that owned it was Lehmann Brothers, a non-local investment banking firm, which I feel certain was not interested much in running a race track. Sorry if you considered that a "jibe." Others considered it far worse than that on the CC board. But yes, it could've been the same thing for the IRL had it cut a deal with PPIR.

...In any case, a contract to hold a race this year would surely have been honoured - even if the race was scheduled after October 31, demolition could've been delayed for a few weeks.

PP closure
sorry to be dim but does this refer to the hillclimb, or is there a circuit there as well, or indeed is it both? I thought the hillclimb was a national institution....

They are refering to the Oval.
The hill climb as far as I know will remain intact. |

Thread has been tidied up a little.
ISC's purchase of PPIR's assets has nothing to do with Ansan, Korea. |

Fortunatly the Pikes Peak Hill Climb is something that can't be purchased and screwed up by ISC.
