I dont think that mandating the number of stops is that important. Cars will need to stop two times for fuel and at least one tire change.
Quite correct and the promotors should see this and build on it.

Just one point, one stop will do it in a 2 hour race as FIA will be next year, perhaps that is why ALMS is 2.75 hours, now who would think that!!

there is no information I can find but it's worth posting the website anyway.
Yes most teams run a 90 liter( 22.5 US Gallons) fuel cell. So that is between 85 and 100 miles on the first tank of fuel.

New thoughts for this series, with the Porsche Cup winner being announced last Saturday and most of the top places taken by Americans after Tim Sugden's win from Europe in 2005 what do we know of the prospects for Porsche teams in the FIA next year. Does anybody know who will run the new car for them?

Mmm! That's a darned good question. After Ebimotors' poor showing this year, no GruppeM, Freisinger or Cirtek in sight, Proton moving to LMS, Autorlando already confirmed at LMS (and probably International GT Open too)... I guess they'd have to pull someone from LMS or national championships, and then the possibilities are endless: Imsa-Matmut, Perspective, PSI, Ice Pol, even ARC Bratislava and Renauer.

Yes Dave, thats true and the set up they had that day, fully liveried transporter etc, they might be a good bet. The actual cost of doing it for any team "appointed" by Porsche can be rather high if you do a no compromise season like GruppeM did so perhaps some hard bargaining ahead
