Just spotted the results on mst (infact thats a small gripe JEB - why weren't the results on mst over the weekend?).....and boy what a time by Joey Foster - ABSOLUTELY amazing to do a 62.6 in an RF78.

What MST did with the results over the weekend isn't really much to do with JEB. Very often MST don't update until the end of the day/weekend.
There must be some doubt about that time of Joey's - he himself wasn't sure that it was genuine. Remember, in the semis a time in the 61s was recorded for Paul Dagg and that was suitably checked and discounted; this one could have slipped through the net. But if it didn't, good work! |

Why are there 2 threads, out of interest???
It only just clicked that there shouldn't be two for the same event? |

It does not matter if you love him or hate him, Peters move as pictured above was simply outstanding. Watching from the woodcote stands the whole race was pretty breath taking, but as moves go it does not bet any better than that.
Anyone who has never watched a top flight FF race from the woodcote stands has realy missed out. Nothing beets seeing a snaking "s" of cars coming down the National Straight (Club Straight if you are old enough) and then fanning out 3, 4, 5 abreast. Always been a great place to watch. Congratulations Peter and all the drivers that made the 2007 WHT such a memorable weekend. |

Fair enough. As I said before I did find it pretty amazing! When I looked at the results I wondered about its validity so had a look at the lap chart - and it also seemed that he had closed in by a over a second on the car in front (who had done a 1.03 something) so I presumed it was probably accurate. I guess if Joeys time was not correct then other times were also innacurate? Surely someone has data logging to confirm the accuracy?

Yeah, it does kind of raise questions about the whole timing system.

Joey's laptimes go 07.70, 05.19, 03.52, 02.97, 04.37, 04.40, 04.00, 03.74, 04.21, 04.14, 02.66, 06.98. On his 02.66 lap, he starts 1.4 seconds behind Rob Hall, end the lap 0.1 seconds behind of him. Joey then does a laptime over 4 seconds of his 02.66, drops a position. At the finish line he is 0.003's behind Will Schryver, with Rob Hall ahead of them both, 3 seconds down the road . Grrrrr, MST will never admit there timing system is defunct, when at times, it clearly is. |

Unfortunately a spectator due to our problem at the Brands Festival, I did grab a few video shots of this wonderful event. I took them for research but as there doesn't seem to be anything else out there I've put them to share on youtube.
I hope it at least gives a flavour of this brilliant meeting. Roll on next year! http://youtube.com/watch?v=3_fw4I72000 |

Excellent. weel done. Being on the pit wall means you miss a lot of the action.
One thing that struck me was the noise the speccys were making. They were really enjoying it. |
