VAN DIEMEN RF87_ CHASSIS #1151/AM87-2
This is my first post , I have just purchased back my sons RF87 VD FF that he raced in the 90s in Australia .We purchased it from Tony Cavalaro in Newcastle Aus who imported it from Walter Lechner in the UK in late 1988. The chassis # is 1151/AM87-2, Gearbox #6188, Finished in Red, Minister Engine #933, delivered in February 1987,and was the 2nd fact prototype.
Walter Lechner also won the European FF championship in 1987 in this car and I understand he developed it for VD and the RF88 evolution. Is there any race History out there and I would love a coloured photo so that it can be restored back to its original specs. Many Thanks, Grant |
