If they keep the same pace yes but will depend on how the car holds up and any cautions.

#2 Porsche might get back up to second overall depending on FCYs and slow zones, but LMP2s will likely need a brake change, something that the Porsche won't need.

Either way, I believe we'll probably be looking at the widest margin of victory between 1st and 2nd overall, since 1987 was won by a 20 lap gap.

At only 15 seconds a lap faster, can Hartley really make the podium? The maths is killing me!

Pit stops are also a lot faster and the P2s have to stop a LOT more, so keep that in mind. Also the difference in laptime is bigger when the silvers are in the cars.

Also the P2s need to change brakes soon which will take a minute or two.

Also the amount of slow zones for complete non-events is ridiculous.

Also remember that the P2's are pitting more often.

These slow zones can be tricky for some of the leaders in class. If you are one of the leaders who catches the slow zone first, and it's lifted before cars behind you get there, your gap can get a lot smaller.

With all these slow zones it is actually difficult to calculate, but if we get some clean laps strung together, divide the time remaining by the mean lap time of the #2 and that will tell you how many maps it can theoretically do. Then do the same thing for the lead P2 car. Compare values.
