Biggy G should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
A great day at the track today, Fabs smoked 'em in race one, he and Murph are going to be TOUGH to beat in the Enduro's, was hoping we'd see the locals Andy Knight and Eddie Bell further up, but they tangled in R1 and both were out of the running, doh.

A selection of shots from the day:

Awesome shots as usual Biggy, looks like it was a very nice day down in Chch, am glad that it worked out that way and hope our South Island comrades loved the cars and racing.

Those bonnet vents look quite cool IMO. Cant wait for 2.30pm today so i can sit down and watch all the action

This should explain why on_to_it

With Coulthard long gone and already in tyre conservation mode, Reid attacked and attacked but could not find a way by McIntyre. Baird and Mclaughlin were also locked in battle which was ultimately resolved when McLaughlin ground to a halt with a mechanical gremlin on lap 13.

Does anyone know the crowd numbers for yesterday

Race 2 top 5:

FC
JR
CB
JM
KS

Looks like a repeat of round 1....almost. With car 51 being dominant in R1 and R2, will it be a right 'ol romping in race 3 or will we see the elbows coming out

I was there. Saw a couple of races. Had plenty of time to.check out the cars. Pretty impressed by the schnitzer Turbo and the wtcc car. Didn't see you E36ST.

The STs need to downsize the brakes I think.

Yeah they accellerate so quick and the braking zones are so short that there is not really any way of making a decent pass.

Well sorry, but that explains nothing really NZST. I've since learned an engine change fixed the "gremlin". Pretty expense "gremlin" isn't it?

No has said anything about the lost engines. I think they lost 4 over the weekend. Some very unhappy campers there. 15K each or something. Cheap racing.
Hope they have more has the next round is only 3 weeks away.

Didn't enjoy the racing over the 3 races, not much passing going on. I almost thought they were TRS with bigger body's on them.

I saw that happen on the TV replay; pretty scary. Any idea what caused it as he didn't make race 3?

You are friggen kidding...

Two at $20k a piece. Then that's three engines including McLaughlins in one meeting. I wonder if that's purely a mechanical issue or an electronic problem; by that I'm wondering if the ECU is leaning them off because the ones that have gone bang seemed to be pretty quick before they popped.

i believe alot of the engine changes were because of a lack or believed lack of power due to engines running to hot. Notice the same cars having engine problems but other cars were fine.

You could be right too. I thought that the engines must have failed, it seem Knights second one did in spectacular fashion.

But surely an engine running too hot is more to do with the cooling system than the engine itself. And why would only a few cars have cooling issues when they are all the same under the skin?

Im not sure why some cars are having more problems than others but even with a new engine in McLauglin's car they were still down on power it may be computer problems
