Presumebly this new rule was only introduced due to requests from teams to have this avenue open.

It used to handle 32 cars with compulsory pitstops, so 27 or 28 cars shouldn't be an issue
It's already at 29 and likely to climb seemingly

Potential joining GRM to help the young guns maybe

Maybe but hypothetically if he were to join any DVS team in that sort of arrangement you'd have to look at his brothers team they need all the help they can get

If he were to join a team, they would ideally be Triple Eight-aligned.

LDM are not. Have not been, for a long time.

Who are the 29?

26 + Le Brocq for Winton anyway.

The fourth BJR entry hasn't been confirmed which event they'll run at

Ipswich and Winton are the most logical rounds for these teams to run due to the costs associated with travelling to Darwin and Perth I wasn't saying it was fact they were running there I was adding in my 2 cents on the topic I reckon thatll be the two rounds they'll choose to compete at

Is Golding even confirmed for DVS yet?

I'd find it hard to see GRM running three cars, unless the driver brought alot of funding to make a wildcard happen?

I'm curious as to how it's all of a sudden easier to do a wildcard entry, compared to before.

What's changed?

I assume that it's cheaper now compared to recent times but don't hold me to that comment

No at this stage Golding will not be in the Dunlop series. Due to the issue with Volvo dumping GRM and then Scotty leaving they had planned to put James up, then Walkinslow decided that Courtney was a better choice then Garth and Garth had no talent despite the fact he improved when they dumped the faulty chassis. Not sure what drugs they smoke in that camp but we wont go into that otherwise I will never get to the end of the story. Garth was signed onto GRM and because they looked at James they had already signed two drivers onto their Dunlop team and James was essentially game over for him. Thanks Volvo

You're drawing a rather long bow with that theory

It's Volvo and Walkinshaw's fault that Golding doesn't have a drive?

Well yes, that was coming from the article which has been stated that when Scotty McLaughlin left they were going to put James in, then Ryan Walkinshaw being the very poor minded team owner he is decided that Tander wasn't worth keeping, it was him not the faulty chassis he had, which was proven with a new car that he can do good things in a good car. Keep Courtney, who is one of the most overrated drivers, 1 title, no Bathurst and No Sandown wins says enough. GRM then signed him as I said and so did they. They then said at this stage they had already signed 2 drivers as they though James was going to be in the main game this year. As a result, yes Volvo does deserve some slack, so does Walkinshaw, 2 groups run by 2 spastics.

To rewind back to say, Sandown, it was in the post-race press conference that Mr Tander stated that his 2017 aspirations were taken care of.

Only days later, Mr Pye was announced to replace him.

In the days after that, WR stated, based on Mr Tander's comments to the media, they were of the belief that Mr Tander had sealed a deal elsewhere without speaking to them first. Of course what we know now, is that Mr Tander's poor turn of phrase was his undoing with WR, meaning he'd actually have to chase a drive elsewhere.

The Volvo thing is a completely seperate issue. Mr Tander took the drive, not entirely sure what the badge would be on his 2017 race car.

There is more behind it then Walkinshaw Racing is willing to reveal, from an inside source, I cannot name in case they get in trouble from their team, but apparently Tander was under the belief that he was going to work a contract with Ryan again, then following Sandown he was told he was no longer needed. He said his aspirations were in the works, which I assume he was taking about Walkinshaw, there wasn't any other talk he was leaving either no teams had interest until after Sandown

Cheaper entry fee's to do a wildcard?

The actual running of the cars hasn't gotten any cheaper

What you are forgetting is that GRM did not have to sign Garth Tander. If they wanted Golding to drive they would have signed him. Who is to say that GRM wouldn't have signed Pye if Walkinshaw did not snap him up and kept Tander?

GRM would have been taking a very hefty risk by running Golding full-time in 2017

I'd love to know your credentials that gives you the right to call the people running Volvo and Walkinshaw Racing spastics? Just not agreeing with their business decisions isn't a reason...

Fairly simple, Holden aren't a sponsor so they don't get any exposure.

peckstar has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!

I like the colours, a bit surprised by the lack of additional sponsors.

I guess today could have been all about Mega and the additions will come as there are a few spots available
