Excellent event and just back after servicing with my mate Mac and Daves usual crew of Stu, Hutch, and Guffy.
Dave was just out to see how the car went as there was no points to score until the Superprix meeting.

Good action from all the classes and a very well done to the service crew and those that helped including Hal Ridge who got Michael Boak's Audi TT back together after its rear end shunt. Well done lads.

Nice to see a few of the usual forum members out and people I havent seen in a while.

Thanks Dave for letting us come along and enjoy the day
Here's to the Superprix

Firstly what a cracking days racing, top class entertainment and some excellent racing.

I'd also like to say a big congats to our Richard who i believe claimed 3rd in the BTRDA stockhatch championship and also to Ash who claimed overall BTRDA champion. Also a big weldone to everyone else that won there championships and ollie for the overall MSA.

I had another frustating day with the engine giving up big time just coming back onto the pit straight. Not 100% sure what exactly has gone but something in the bottom end broke and it was terminal (sort of sum's up my year).

Anybody get any pics of the blow up?

Si

James the young lad who was grid sheet runner for the dummy grid would like to pass on his thanks to all the supercar drivers who signed a grid sheet for him. It is certain that that will encourage him to further his marshaling.

yes it was a lupo and yes it was Mr Chicken. Its a 1.6 16v stockhatch ready for the 2008 british championship. He race it in the clubmans supermodified class and finished a very creditable 3rd after holding 2nd place for almost a lap of the final.

For a few drinks and a sandwich, standing in the rain or the burning sun the whole day, some respect for them please.

If this is true I hope it was reported through the proper channels. Anyone attacking marshals, officials or other competitors should sent packing. A season's ban should be the absolute minimum.

Just to make sure the record is straight Liam Doran was not excluded from the A Final, He retired from it just after the chicane due to car breaking.
As to the other matter he was delt with by myself as Clerk of the Course and then by the Stewards of the Meeting, he was subsequently excluded from the event and points added to his licence

It was a bit like panic stations as it did go up with a BANG!!

Good to hear that Dave was unscathed!

[quote=golfvanman]have you ever seen him drive...........

I have seen him drive on a few occasions and it now looks as though a lot of work has been done on the fiesta and it is starting to look quick.

If you are referring in your quote to the clash with the Audi at Croft at the weekend, I was in the grandstand and it looked like an unavoidable racing incident, was it reported as otherwise by the marshall post?

what you didnt see from the granstand was his brake lights not coming on in the back of his car because he used me as a brake (i was in the TT ). The marshalls and other drivers who saw it all said it was not a racing incident
